Youth Group meets every Sunday starting in August and ending in May.
We meet in the Youth House from 11:30 AM -1:30 PM.
Lunch is provided and friends are always welcome.

Our focus is on Relational Ministry, Spiritual Reflections and Community Building
with scripture at its core, experiential learning such as Mission Trips, Urban
Survivals, Pilgrimages and Retreats. We use a variety of curricula and follow the
liturgical calendar while incorporating life experiences.

Retreats are designed to allow the youth to explore their faith without distractions
and help to build community. Removing them from their regular environment
gives room for God and room for the Holy Spirit. Retreats teach them “The Way”
“Their Way”. Retreats prepare the youth for extended spiritual experiences such
as mission trips, urban survivals and pilgrimages. Our focuses during retreats are
community building, learning to tell our spiritual autobiography and exploring our
faith. Some retreats are designed to explore the confirmation process.

To be on a Pilgrimage is an experience like no other. It is a journey to a sacred
place. Pilgrims have been making sacred journeys for centuries.

Urban Survivals are designed to be fun. They encourage independence, develop
decision making skills and teach how to read a paper map. Each one includes a
scripture based theme. All activities are centered around scripture and the city the participants
travel to, as well as the must-see sites of the city. Our youth group programs run
during the school year starting in the Fall and ending in June the following year. The
Urban Survival usually will take place over the springtime. The Urban Survival is a
perfect tool to prepare the youth for traveling on a mission trip or pilgrimage.

Mission trips are designed to end our youth group program year. Traditionally we
will end with a youth worship contemporary service, end-of-year party and then off on
a mission trip. The mission trip usually consists of some type of travel; it can take us
abroad or keep us local. Mission trips are invaluable in teaching how to care for
others, how to clothe others and how to feed others. They encourage service, they
provide an opportunity for our youth to put their faith into action and help communities

of need to gain hope!

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you.
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Holy Trinity traditionally travels to Kanuga by luxury charter bus to Hendersonville
NC. Kanuga is a sacred place with many opportunities to worship, hike and just be
still. Kanuga offers two opportunities for the youth; a summer conference in late June

and a winter conference over Christmas break. The winter
conference is offered to HS students only. The conference is called WINTERLIGHT
and takes place from Dec 26 - Jan 1. Kanuga is a "thin place" for our youth

where God always comes very close to his creation.
